Weather Channel Founder Blasts Gore Over Global Warming Campaign
John Coleman, now a weatherman at San Diego's KUSI, writes on his station's Web site that Al Gore is ignoring the faulty research behind global warming.

John Coleman, now a weatherman at San Diego's KUSI, wrote on his station's Web site Wednesday that Gore refuses to acknowledge the faulty research on which the idea of global warming is based.

Coleman's lengthy scolding came as the former vice president and Nobel Peace Prize winner addressed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and urged lawmakers to pass a bill that would put caps on heat-trapping gases and take the lead on a global climate treaty.

Coleman wrote that the Environmental Protection Agency is "on the verge" of naming CO2 (carbon dioxide) as a pollutant, and that seemingly all of Washington is on board with such CO2 silliness."

"I am totally convinced there is no scientific basis for any of it," Coleman wrote, describing the decades-old theory that increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in Earth's atmosphere leads to global warming.

"Global Warming. It is the hoax. It is bad science. It is a high jacking of public policy. It is no joke. It is the greatest scam in history," Coleman wrote.

Good old Al never gets any credit, first he invents the internet and gets no credit, now he invents global warming and doesnt get any credit.. Maybe he needs to get a job...

Because I tend to play devil's advocate sometimes, I think it's worth mentioning that meteorologists are not climatologists. People who deal with weather in the short term aren't necessarily qualified to deal with weather in the long term. Would you ask a climatologist whether it's going to rain tomorrow? Hopefully not.

It's kind of like the difference between pistol and rifle shooters, or competition shooters and hunters, or military and close protection specialists. Outsiders looking in assume they're closely related, but in fact they're highly specialized fields that really don't have that much to do with each other, except for being on the same broad topic.

If you're wondering why North America is starting to resemble nuclear winter, then you missed the news.

At December's U.N. Global Warming conference in Poznan, Poland, 650 of the world's top climatologists stood up and said man-made global warming is a media generated myth without basis. Said climatologist Dr. David Gee, Chairman of the International Geological Congress, "For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming?"

I asked myself, why would such obviously smart guy say such a ridiculous thing? But it turns out he's right.

The earth's temperature peaked in 1998. It's been falling ever since; it dropped dramatically in 2007 and got worse in 2008, when temperatures touched 1980 levels.

Meanwhile, the University of Illinois' Arctic Climate Research Center released conclusive satellite photos showing that Arctic ice is back to 1979 levels. What's more, measurements of Antarctic ice now show that its accumulation is up 5 percent since 1980.

In other words, during what was supposed to be massive global warming, the biggest chunks of ice on earth grew larger. Just as an aside, do you remember when the hole in the ozone layer was going to melt Antarctica? But don't worry, we're safe now, that was the nineties.

Dr. Kunihiko, Chancellor of Japan's Institute of Science and Technology said this: "CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or the other ... every scientist knows this, but it doesn't pay to say so." Now why would a learned man say such a crazy thing?

This is where the looney left gets lost. Their mantra is atmospheric CO2 levels are escalating and this is unquestionably causing earth's temperature rise. But ask yourself -- if global temperatures are experiencing the biggest sustained drop in decades, while CO2 levels continue to rise -- how can it be true?

Ironically, in spite of being shown false, we must now pray for it. Because a massive study, just released by the Russian Government, contains overwhelming evidence that earth is on the verge of another Ice Age.

Based on core samples from Russia's Vostok Station in Antarctica, we now know earth's atmosphere and temperature for the last 420,000 years. This evidence suggests that the 12,000 years of warmth we call the Holocene period is over.

Apparently, we're headed into an ice age of about 100,000 years -- give or take. As for CO2 levels, core samples show conclusively they follow the earth's temperature rise, not lead it.

It turns out CO2 fluctuations follow the change in sea temperature. As water temperatures rise, oceans release additional dissolved CO2 -- like opening a warm brewsky.

To think, early last year, liberals suggested we spend 45 trillion dollars and give up five million jobs to fix global warming. But there is good news: now that we don't have to spend any of that money, we can give it all to the banks.

AAAAAAH. the flint journal.... I grew up in flint... flashbacks.... shake it off..

I agree that al is an idiot.. I think the earth has cycles on its own that it goes through.

This is only verifying what Junk Science has been saying for a long time. It's just that our wonderful liberal media are always on the job catering to the whims of all these idiots. It's like the hurricane experts who predict the storms - I've lived in Florida for 62 years, and I can guess better than these guys can predict.

Now ol' Al will have to find another dead horse to beat.

The best thing is to always just be prepared. Be equipped and ready to roll whether it's an earthquake, an armed revolt or a melting ice sheet plunging into the ocean.

The possibility of global warming is that much more reason to be ready with plenty of guns and ammo, right? Sounds logical to me. Obama should be encouraging everyone to go out and buy guns, just in case! :thank_you2:

He should be made to return his NOBEL prize!!!

for his Fallacy that he received all that cash for, it was yet again in the low teens and has been that way for almost a month now. Some gal at the store thinks global warming means big temperature swings golly a democrat will believe anything just so Gore is not wrong!!!:alcoholic:
