The second part of that actually makes sense - just not in the way he intended it. Banning the tools for that problem isn't a solution.

That didn't post right. It was supposed to reference the part where he talks about Chicago's violence done with cheap handguns and not AK 47s. That does make sense but not in the way he meant it. He actually admits that evil looking assault rifles are not really a major issue (and then wants to ban them anyway).
