We are all 'mentally ill'...~SMH~

I saw this too. The sad reality is, the next step is for the american phsyciatric institute, or many such groups, to appeal for federal funding to study these new "diseases" or "illnesses". That is the driving factor behind most of the stuff that you and I realize is BS. See how much money we are spending on this garbage in 10 years.

Just another example of people finding (make or creating) problems, so they can save us. It also creates a way to excuse bad behavior. I also heard of a study that proved, (ya right) that spanking your child would increase the chances they would grow into raping wife beaters, and aggressive murdering monsters. I am glad I lived in a time when I could discipline my two boys, never had to do it much, but they knew I could and would if need be. IMHO they turned out real good.

It is the decision of this court that you have been found to be "shy" and as such you are a danger to society.

Or, an excuse for their actions, because they are mentally disabled, and need help. They had to kill that guy, because they were shy and didn`t know better.

Actually it's the drug companies...The more "conditions" they can get classified as "diseases" the more medication they can insist that we need to be on. Seen those commercials lately for guys who have "low T?" Same thing...your testosterone level is SUPPOSED to drop as you get older, but now it's a pharmaceutically treatable condition.

Have you noticed that what was once "acid reflux" is now "acid reflux disease?"

Agree 100%. A culture of overdiagnosed hypochondriacs has been created and it's spreading.

I was spanked as a child and I'm very angry. Not angry at my parents but angry that, at age 48, I still haven't turned into a raging, violent alcoholic. I feel left out.

Can anyone tell me when this transformation is supposed to take place???

I don't know about 'yall but my friends said I need to seek help when I asked my now wife to marry me. They all said I was nuts!

Don't be "deceived" by any liberal BS, this has nothing to do with drugs or drug companies. This has everything to do with the agenda of Big Brother seeking the least path of resistance and directives deemed necessary to incarcerate any threat of opposition at their discretion in the near future.

Mental illness? I'M NOT CRAZY!!!! Hello there, nice to meet you. HAAAAAAAAA, bats, flying everywhere!!!! Oh, hello, nice to meet you.

Maybe we should all put the mental specialists in straight jackets and label them as the ones who need psychiatric treatment, what do you think?

Depends of if you have kids at home. That's where I got my mental illness and rage.

And when it comes to the rage....All depends on what you're drinking. If it's the cheap stuff, that would explain the rage, If you're drinking good quality scotch and still feeling the rage, then there IS a mental problem.

Don't worry! There's still time for the transformation!

Mom: I worked in the mental health field for a number of years. Oddly, some of the thoughts of the "trained professionals" were more bizarre than those of some of the patients. Makes one wonder why we need most of them. There are, however, some good people in the field who do excellent work, just not enough of them. After entering the field, I determined if I were ever to need counseling, I would find a good bartender. Their recommendations could be of as much value some times.

Thanks for the advice. I have juice spattered all over my desk now that I need to clean up. LOL !!! I don't know if there are still the original barbershop with the spinning red and white pole outside their door, but I heard that was where most men get their advice, not a bartender...

No children but I do have a bunch of guns. Isn't the mere sight of a firearm supposed to turn someone into a murderous whack-o?? That's why people kill, right? Because they have access to guns and it makes them crazy??? At least that's what a lot of anti-gun armchair psychiatrists say......

It's true. In fact, there was a proposal a few years ago by the Barber Board in California advising a short coarse in psychology because so many men confided in their barber and asked for advise.

That's why the Seasoned Grunt's advice is so good....a good bartender will point you toward the "good stuff". As far as advice from the barber? Sounds like a hair-brained idea to me.
