I for one see no problem with the Washington Redskins team name. The difference is , do you know where and why they got the name in the first place?
Back in 1932 the team owner, George Preston Marshall, moved the team to Fenway Park and renamed the team the Washington Redskins. Why? He did it to honor the coach, Lone Star Dietz. Dietz was an American Sioux Indian. Obviously the person or people wanting the name done away with, do not know the reason for the name in the first place. If Lone Star Dietz found honor and pride in the name why can't they.
It also seems odd to me that I haven't heard any name change rhetoric about the Cleveland Indians, The Atlanta Braves, or any other teams whether it be on a professional, college, or High School level.
if there is any reason to change the name of the Washington Redskins, it should to lose the word Washington from the team, as Washington is one of the most dishonorable places in the United States. Washington and this current government is without honor and a disgrace to America.
