Warning to veterans who conceal carry...

THREAD INFORMATION PROVEN TO BE INVALID -- I APOLOGIZE TO FORUM USERS

From a friend of mine

I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found something very interesting I would like to pass along. While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions:

1. Did I feel stressed?
2. Did I feel threatened?
3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?

The nurse then informed me, if I had answered "yes" to any of the questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security.

I am a Vietnam vet and 15 year cc permit holder. Looks like they are going after us vets. Be forewarned and be aware. The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners as potential terrorists. If you are a veteran, you've been warned. If you know veterans, please pass this on to them.

No no no

These same questions are asked sometimes at non guv ment medical facilites.
Screening for domestic violence
Nobody is losing their permits over this.

Check another posting for the law.

I actually work in primary care at a VA Medical Center. These are questions that health care providers are told to ask. The reason HCP's are told to ask these questions is because so many people are not seeking help for combat stress and PTSD. An affirmative answer to one of these questions would trigger the doctor to let a social worker or Psychologist know that this person could possibly want help some time in the future.

I really think that this act is a precaution for us Vet's and not an undercover ploy by uncle same to take away our gun rights. But, I am just one man and this is just one mans opinion.
