Back when I was growing up (50's-60's) I would see signs like that in different areas (i.e. Protected by S&W) it was no big deal and it told me to stay away. Now in the present day, it seems like an invite for the bad guys to come in for a gun fight. Times really have changed.

I answer the door with a gun on my hip right out in plain sight. I mow my lawn with a gun on my hip. I visit with my neighbors ... in their homes and yards... with a gun on my hip. I do my shopping with a gun on my hip. I run my errands with a gun on my hip. I do my banking with a gun on my hip. I talk with our police chief with a gun on my hip. I attend council meetings with a gun on my hip...........

What the hell do I need a sign for?
