Mark Levin to Obama: You lay one hand on WW2 vets and I?LL BRING HALF A MILLION PEOPLE TO THAT MEMORIAL! » The Right Scoop -
~
I want to say this loud and clear to the people on Capitol Hill who are listening, to this administration. You lay one damn hand on one of those World War II vets at that memorial and I’ll bring half a million people to that damn memorial! You got that?!
*
I’m sitting here stewing thinking about this – playing these damn games? You’ll ignite a movement in this country like you’ve never seen before! The biker patriot army – veterans from all over the country, every single war and battle in this country, Republican, Democrat, Independent, whatever!
*
I’ll be damned if one president, with his feet up on the desk in the oval office, with a smirk on his face, looking at his golf card…I’ll be damned if this president or anybody else is going to shut down that WWII memorial. Period! These men are in their 80s and 90s.
*
So let me repeat! You lay one hand on one of those men and arrest them for going to their memorial, which they fought for, which was not paid by you dammit, it was paid by the American people – we will come out of every town and city in this nation! We will come out of every county. And both coasts! Both borders! And we will march on Washington against your tyranny!

You’ve been warned!

It seems to orders to close this memorial came from the White House's Office of Budget and Management according to a female Park Ranger.

I love Mark Levin....I try to listen to him daily! :)

I feel exactly the same. And even thought I don't get involved in protests I will make an exception. I refuse to live under a tyrant. My father and his two brothers fought in WW2. The older brother died and is buried in St.Loe Cemetery, France. My father and other brother would never talk about the war or their brother's death. They never got to see the memorial, but I feel very strongly about the other vets having one last opportunity.

I have absolutely no respect for this president and believe that is is an embarrassment to the country. His election is a testimony to the decline the greatest country in world history and the stupid uninformed voters. Obama is a despicable person who exploited this county's liberty and wealth and has contributed nothing. He and his most ardent supporters are a cancer that is destroying the U.S. from within. And the most common treatment for cancer is the excision of the infected tissue.

I saw this earlier this morning. I like Levin and think he's a great author, especially "Men In Black." I like his radio show alright, but don't listen to radio very often.

That said, this threat of half a million people showing up in DC on nothing more than his request is so much puffery I can hardly stand it. If he or Limbaugh or Hannity or any/all of the conservative radio talking heads had that much influence, then where were they when ObamaCare was being passed using a parliamentary trick on a Sunday night in 2010? I was there. Were any of the talking heads? None that I saw. How 'bout raising half a million people to march on DC demanding tax reform, like the Fair Tax or something that treats everybody more or less the same? Ever seen them do that? I've been to several Fair Tax rallies and Neal Boortz was at all of them. He's retired now, but even he would be honest and say he had/has very little influence to get people out to rally or protest or activate around a given issue. Levin is dreaming if he thinks he could follow through with that threat.

I have tons of respect for those, including the vets themselves, who go to the memorial and cross the umm....Barrycades in direct opposition to anyone, including Park Police, who would stop them, but all Levin did is blow off some steam from his "bunker in an undisclosed location" where no one could tell him how ridiculous he sounds claiming to have that many people at his beckon call. If he really did have that many, he'd have used that influence by now and stopped some of the many egregious usurpations that have taken place in our government since he's been on the air. I've seen Jon Voight at demonstrations. Seen Nugent, Gary Sinese, Kelsey Grammar, Trace Adkins and others get out there from time to time, but never seen the media talking heads do anything but be talking heads. Have I missed it? And no, I don't count Hannity broadcasting from a Tea Party rally that was going to take place whether or not he was there as doing anything particularly useful.

I'm anxious to get my hands on Levin's new book, "The Liberty Amendments," but when it comes to activism, the time for empty talk is long past. Crap or get off the pot, Mark.

If a vet would be arrested trying to see the memorial, I do not think it would take much organizing to get 1/2 million to march on D.C. Our leaders keep pushing the envelope, they could find out they pushed too much. I hope some day after being pushed around, the American people will have enough, and push back really hard.

When I get off of AD, I fully plan to become an ACTIVE-ist. I am restricted and if I push too far I can be punished under the UCMJ, I do what I can... when I can. Hell, I've already got my cliche', battle uniform ready with medals on it...

I have physical, mental and emotional scars... I've got ink on my body that will remind all who see it who we were, where we went and what we gave. I'll be damned if I'm going to sit idly by, while the country I've sacrificed for allows itself to wither away.

More importantly, I owe it to the ones who didn't come home, the ones who did in boxes or wheel chairs... to stand for what's right, for what they were so willing to give everything for. I'm a kind and generally gentle, polite man but, at the drop of a hat... I can flip the switch.

Don't tread on me, yes... more explicitly, don't f**k with me.

Blues.I understand where your coming from and maybe it is a little extreme(maybe not) but it has to start somewhere with someone or it will never happen for sure.I truly believe there are large numbers of true Americans out there that the media outlets dont want everyone to see.I really want to believe that when it comes down to it WE will stand.I used to think to little to late but no way IT IS NEVER TO LATE WHEN IT COMES TO THIS COUNTRY THAT I LOVE.

Great stuff, finally a man with a pair sounding off. I found him on Facebook, have been sending it around. Thanks for posting this. About time. The Bikers have gone up the truckers are next. We are highly P.O.ed. Spread this around folks, all forms/formats.

All I can say is that 500,000 souls descending on the Mall when ObamaCare was being passed in the dead of night might have actually stopped it from passing. Instead, I was one of only about 40,000 - 80,000 (depending on which media you listen to) of those who DID STAND.

Everyone says they'll STAND when it's important, or when the country is at stake, whatever the cliché of the day is. I call BS on that assertion for most of them. I was at Cal Jam I & II. There were about 300K+ at both of them to get loaded and listen to music for a day. I took leave from the Army to go to the Watkins Glen concert in 1973 (friends were playing there). Over 600K there so toasted out of their minds that the rain and mud was all but ignored. But get upwards of 100K to show up for important things such as opposing ObamaCare or protest our own illegal surveillance? How many times since the protests against Vietnam has that happened?

Like I said, I generally like Levin, and I think closing the memorial is a purposeful affront by the Obammunists just to piss off the more conservative folks in this country. But no hundreds of thousands are going to follow Mark down there to move the Barrycades aside so the vets can get in there unencumbered. Mark's blowin' smoke up everyone's butt who believes such nonsense. He isn't that influential or powerful. He'd need to sing like Gregg Allman, or play guitar like Jerry Garcia, or have drugs to hand out like Bear Owlsley to draw those kinds of crowds.

This whole shutdown and monument closure BS is nothing more than Obummer having a temper tantrum because he didn't get his way. :shout:

I'm with you 100% Buckey01, I'll make an exception for this too.

I think an open carry demonstration would be in order. If that isn't allowed in DC, SO WHAT! The community organizer should appreciate those tactics, don't ya think?

Tyrants always look for an excuse, justified or not, to increase the repression. This excuse of tyrants goes back to ancient Rome and before. Nero burned Rome so that the blame could be attributed to the Christians; and the brutal repression could be justified.

Obama is just waiting for his excuse to declare martial law and to increase his dictatorial power to that of a real tyrant. He would be able to suspend the Constitution and assume even more power. And progressives have always hated our founding documents that provide for limitations on government power. These would-be tyrants are overreaching and the American people are beginning to realize it. They are bullies and are starting to reveal exactly who the are.

We must be judicious and allow the bullies to continue to alienate an ever increasing number of Americans. If I may I would like to quote Captain Parker, commander of the Colonial militia at Lexington Green: "Stand your ground it's your right, but do not fire unless fired upon." Even after 15 years of resistence the Colonials were still resistant to firing on the British. All I'm saying is what we are always taught about the use of force in self defense. Use force only when absolutely necessary and make sure that your actions don't make you the aggressor.

I think it is sad that because of the government shutdown all these vet can't go to these war memorials saw it on the news makes you think

This has nothing to do with the veterans. The progressives are putting the people of this country on notice to not interfere with socialist goals that they want. And if they do block the socialist goals they will be punished.

WASHINGTON — The families of four soldiers killed in Afghanistan last weekend will not receive death benefits or the money to pay for their funerals because of the government shutdown.
~
The bodies of Sgt. Patrick C. Hawkins, 25; Pfc. Cody J. Patterson, 24; Sgt. Joseph M. Peters, 24; and First Lt. Jennifer M. Moreno, 25, will arrive at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Wednesday. The four soldiers were killed Sunday in the Zhari district of Kandahar Province when enemy forces attacked their unit with explosives.

Since first published this number has grown to 12 dead military personnel who are being denied benefits, Congress has promised to fix this today, Wednesday, October 9, 2013. We shall see, this is just one more of Obama's interpretations of written law to embarrass the American people in the worlds eyes.

And that is just wrong. Yesterday I saw a USDA inpector out checking bug traps. Why is that an essential job? There is a protest starting on Friday morning in DC. 3000 truckers plan on slowing traffic down on the beltway. Maybe they will inconvenience Harry Reid some.
