STOP USING YOUR PISTOL, and UNLOAD IT IMMEDIATELY, exercising EXTREME CARE in doing so AND RETURN IT TO WALTHERAMERICA AT ONCE.
 
This recall applies to Walther PK380, .380 ACP pistols manufactured by Carl Walther GmbH from May, 2012 to September, 2012, and which have a Serial Number ranging from
PK 101201 to PK 112155

I must be the only one who thinks this is funny. The problem is that the gun can be discharged with the safety on.

That's very dangerous for people who rely on a gun having a manual safety.

Me however, I carry a Glock because I realize that the only real safety is in between your ears. I dont need a gun with manual "safeties". If people use their brains when handling these Walther PK380s, there is really no need for a recall.
 
The safety, when on, allows the user to decock the gun while pulling the trigger. If the blocking mechanism does not work the gun will fire.
