Walther P22 Ammo Question

I got a new Walther P22 last week but due to the weather I haven't shot it yet. I wanted to get some feedback as to what type of ammo you P22 owners fire through our P22. I have read several recommendations about using CCI Stinger .22 Long Rifle ammo to be sure that the P22 cycles properly. So what are you P22 owners shooting through your pistols?

At first the only thing it would eat was the stingers, so...... I polished the under side of the slide where the hammer kinda rubs a little bit and also took some 2000 grit sand paper and sanded down the sharp edge that's on the hammer, now it will eat anything I put in it including the cheap junk federal bulk ammo

I havent sanded mine down yet, but it eats up a few. Remington Thunderbolt 40 gr LRN, CCI Velocitors, CCI Stingers, CCI Minimags (get some stovepipes with minimags whereas the other types don't misfire at all...) and American Eagle 36 gr HP. I dip the very tips of those in wax so the HP doesn't get hung up and fail to feed.

Can somebody upload a picture of where you've sanded so I can see?

I assume that after you field strip the gun then work on the underside of the slide where the hammer rubs - was there a line or grove where this occurred on the underside of the slide? Also, did you have to remove the hammer to sand it down as well? I watched a video on UTube where the poster said that he also worked on the lip at the back of the barrel to sand the ridge that was there down some to get his ammo to feed better. Then another said to check the lips on the magazine to make sure they were not too tight that might prevent the ammo from feeding properly out of the magazine as well.
Some of those posts were two years old, so maybe Smith & Wesson/Walther has addressed some of these issues on the newer guns.....I hope, I hope, I hope!!! Thanks for the information so far too!
