I am looking for a gun for my wife to carry and would like some advice on whether this is a good choice or not??

its an expensive choice
Id look at Bersa .380"s have a couple of different models, all very resonable and reliable.

Here is my first hand experience. I read tons of reviews earlier this year on this, and other .380 weapons. My wife liked the feel of the frame, much better than any others at the time. There were plenty of reviews that said that it had FTCs and FTEs. Was told to use this ammo, or that ammo. The one we got did just that. It's been back to the factory, and it still stovepipes on us. Needless to say, my wife now has a Sig Sauer P238. The only reason we didn't get it initially was price point. Well, price point was not a factor compared to a weapon that works reliably. The only thing the PK380 was good for was teaching my wife how to clear jams at her CCW class, and she got really good a that.

Everyone's experience is different, that's ours.

Just about everyone I have talked with has liked the LCR. Even if you don't use +p ammo, it is still a good choice. Reliable, light and very little stings from what I hear.
I like my Walther P99, but that is large and 9mm. - No problems with it.

I bought 2 PK 380s for my daughters. They have both fired hundreds of rounds with no problems. They like the ease of racking the slide and being more "full-size", the recoil is light. They highly recommend it!

Just got mine a week ago. Normally carry an XD9 but was looking for something smaller for summer. 100 rounds thru it and found it to be very accurate. No jams/problems at all. I'll carry it all summer.

You did mean Walther right? I mean Walter is an awesome name and all but I don't think he makes a gun.
