Walmart limiting ammo sales

Went to my local Walmart today. Found some 12g shotgun shells and bought 10 boxes ( to skeet shoot) but they had a sign on the ammo case. " limit 3 boxes per customer per day". Funny thing was the ammo case was bone empty.

Same thing here, limit 3/customer, and the shelf is totally barren apart from oddball calibers and some .30-06. I suppose if they had stock it would be a good thing, keep the hoarders from buying everything up to resell since Wal-Mart hasn't raised their ammo prices from the pre-scare levels. I had heard of people with friends or family working there go in and buy everything they had the moment the shipment arrived, just to turn around and resell for double or more.

Same in Michigan, I called Corp. Customer Service they just gave me the run around, looks like they will not reorder ammo. I reminded the agent who spent a lot of money at Walmart.

Same here.. nothing left on the shelves though.. last wed night saw some 9mm and decided to wait till payday. not two days later those were gone along with the majority of what was left.

They are still getting ammo a bit at a time. Picked up 3 boxes of 380's Sat. at one store.
Today I went to a different store & got 2 boxes of 45 acp.
They don't have much to offer, but at least they haven't raised any prices.
Just keep checking, & buy what you can afford at the time. If you wait till payday.....................

Same sign here in WI, at at least two stores. Prices have also gone up a couple bucks. Haven't caught anything 45 ACP except for PD rounds in weeks.

Two Walmart's I visited here in Tucson has ammo and guns on order but the stuff is just trickling in. What they do have is one box per caliber and three box limit. So it's three calibers one box each. Local gun stores are limiting what they have also. Not just a problem at Walmart.
