Walmart has really pissed me off!

The only thing I buy at wally world is ammo, needless to say they have not collected dollars from me for quite some time!

I have had no issues with that kind of attitude at Walmart here in Utah. I carry concealed in there on occasion and have purchased ammo from them within the last month (finally the worst of the ammo pinch seems to be subsiding). I also got my airsoft pistol and gear there (so I can practice in my backyard). I guess it is a regional thing. That said I get there very rarely. I'm a coscoholic. In Utah I have never seen a sign prohibiting arms there. Good luck to those of you that live amongst the "civilized". You may need it.

I also stopped shopping at walmart due to the complete incompetence of their employees.

I will never darken any walmart again.

I'm for a reasonable amount of diligence, but that is just ridiculous... I can't claim that I never shop at Walmart, but I actively avoid them any time I can.

Well my friends, there is no need to worry over this type of idiotic treatment from "wally world" employees. Now they have the firearms in stock but, never any ammo. Thanks, Obummer administration!

Many of the Walmart stores in Missouri do not sell firearms of any kind. The shelves are empty of ammo except once in a while I will see 40 S&W.

Anyone notice that the ammo most commonly unavailable from the big box stores is the calibers for large capacity magazines?

Here in Arkansas some WalMarts sell rifles some don't. I went to Monticello's WalMart and they were selling AR15's! Had 10 on display from $497 to $1995. They also had ammo of all kinds and 30 rd mags, laser sights and collapsible buttstocks. It's the only one here I've seen this well stocked but our local store had ammo except for 22lr. What's up with that anyway?

Glad I live in Missouri, when Walmart still had ammo cheep friendly and out the door quick. Now the only way to get ammo at Walmart is to be lucky, retired and wait for the rude employees to unload the pallet. can't wait for this ammo craze created by the GOV to be over.

I've never seen 30 rd mags or collapsible buttstocks at our local w-m, were they magpul or some chinese knock-offs? 22 ammo is the most used at local ranges and most compititions due to the lower cost of firearms and ammo. Well, used to be ammo costs! Now it has the highest mark up for resale and being hoarded by 22 enthusiasts.

The Wal-Mart near my home requires that you be 21 to purchase any ammunition that can be used in a handgun, although I've never need to show my ID for anything other than a firearm purchase. Wal-Mart does escort you to the front door, while they carry the firearm, once you reach the front door they hand you the box and say goodbye. Wal-Mart has a policy of rotating their employees through different departments, your bound to get employees who don't like guns, don't like you, and are po'ed with their existence. I've only met one pro gun Wal-Mart employee, but if you can't deal with store policy you should find somewhere else to shop.

22 ammo is the lowest cost ammunition to shoot. A lot of us don't shoot as much pistol ammo or rifle ammo as we used to because of the cost, so to shoot affordably we shoot 22 ammo in both handguns and rifles. I go through 300 to 500 rounds of 22 ammo a month and it can be a chore to get unless your willing to be gouged. I don't think ammo prices will come down much even if and when the supply returns to normal, so the 22 LR will continue to be the most difficult to come by. There are two reasons 22 ammo is in short supply, 1) people are shooting more 22 ammo 2) people are stock piling 22 ammo because it is compact, light, low cost, portable, and effective for most purposes.
