Wait time for ccw permit

I did the course at the end of July and submitted my paperwork to the State Police in my state the following day.Now it's six weeks later and I am still waiting.
I am wondering what the avg wait time is and should I worry about it .

We have absolutely no way of answering your question. Some states the answer is yes, some states the answer is no.

I live in Indiana, I filed my application electronically at the end of January and had my permit in April. Friends that filed around the same time using a paper app and fingerprints are still waiting.
