VOTE! But don't CCW when you do.

I am so accustomed to having my Ruger in my holster, and it is so comfortable, that after a few minutes, I don't feel it.

BUT, don't bring your "friend" with you when you vote today. That's a huge oops. (Had to remind my wife, so I felt compelled to remind others)

In my state, it is illegal to carry at a polling place on election day.
In my case the polling place is a school, so I could never carry there anyway. Unless all I intended to do was sit in my car in the parking lot.

Seems like it would be an opportune time for a crazy person to kill a bunch of people unopposed.

Not an issue in SD, unless the polling place is in an otherwise legally restricted place (and we don't have too many of those here.)

I carried!

If it is truly concealed, then it "should be" a non-issue.
Are you suggesting that a gun being truly concealed is justification for breaking the law? Are you suggesting that breaking the law is just fine as long as a person doesn't get caught?

My polling place had a gunbuster sign up during the recall, but it's down now. So I OC'd right up to the booth. Old lady looked at my face, not my piece and asked for my name.

With respect.. may I point out that laws differ from State to State and what may be illegal in one State might be perfectly legal in a different State. For example...

I open carried a fully loaded sidearm as I voted in the Spaulding Township Hall located in Michigan. And yes, that was legal.

You do understand that in most states it is NOT illegal to carry at a polling place just because it is a polling place and you are voting?

I CCW'd to vote. Never a problem here. No Black Panthers at the polling places here either. I guess they were discouraged by all of the 4WD Pick-ups with gun racks, the Harleys and the Confederate flags in front of the polling place. Black Panthers with clubs are not intimidating here. They are cause for laughter.

I seemed to recall something about not carrying "in government polling places" or some such thing. So I did remove and lock. Though really, I don't think I would have lost any sleep had I forgotten.

Yea I thought about that, I meen the dude did it in a movie theater, and there was more chance of somebody carrying there, but dam a crowded voteing station, it would not be pretty, and do you think for a minuit that the BG is minding the (gun free zone)

Those of you who live in states where your 2A rights are being illegally deprived should move to a state where you the law doesn't prohibit carry in a polling place...like NY.

Yeah, we're just dying to move to a place with lax gun laws like New York.
