Virginia Non-Resident

Does anyone have a good time frame for the Virginia Non-Resident? I sent in my package and never heard from anyone, so I called September 1 and said that they have received it and that it was being processed. However they said to expect it to take 60-90 days but my understanding was that they as to have it finished within 45 days?? I live in OK

Hi I live in Nevada applied to Virginia for a non-resident permit it took all of 90 days they will or you should of got a letter stating they have received your app they do run a full background check before granting permit .

There's no statutory time limit on non-resident permits. The State Police have a self-imposed target of 90 days which they pretty much hit +/- a week. They won't even accept an inquiry until the 90 days have passed.
