ok if you watch this and dont like it.. Well dunno what to tell yeh but its true - video games didn't make me want to be a plumber or stomp on turtles.. and Movies/TV didn't make me want to own an alligator and be a pretend drug smuggler (Miami vice) though Airwolf did make me want to fly helicopters (to bad my eyesight made that impossible) - And I really enjoyed MCgyver - until it was "taken" off air because some retarded kids made a bomb or two and blamed it on Mcgyver (I own every episode, and never saw that one)

Oh and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles never made me want to crawl around in a sewer.. o.O

Squirrels did once destroy my attic when I was out of town for work. That video makes me want to hurt the squirrel lol.

Dunewolf, there is one thing that is bothering me. I saw a report, and I don't know if it is 100% accurate, that the jackass at Sandy Hook reloaded his rifle with as many as 15 rounds left in the magazine.

As someone that likes to shoot and who works as a range RO, that makes no sense at all. Why leave so many in the magazine. As someone that rabbit hunts, you don't stop shooting to change mags if there are still rabbits around. You change when empty.

As someone that has played FPS for way way too many years that makes complete sense. Take out your target and do a quick reload to have 30 rounds for the next one. You never have to top off a mag, they are always full.

That is my logic, not something the media is blasting, and that worries me. I can see the influence of video games in what he did.

That's gotta be true! Why else would he do that?!

I'm a gamer and I don't run around shooting randoms, unless in game LOL.

I need to get back online, I miss making kids whine and cry "you have aimbot! Cheater!" Or "you hax"

Depends on the training. Magpul differentiates a tactical reload (retaining the magazine, usually only if a break in the firefight allows) and a combat reload (dump the magazine, usually on empty).

Some people think a tactical reload is a waste...

If I ever have to pull my firearm, and I stop the threat in 4 rounds, I'm reloading with a full magazine and pocketing the not full magazine. If I run the gun dry, the empty mag is hitting the deck and a fresh mag does in the gun.

I feel that him doing tactical reloads shows that it was much more planned than spur of the moment. Which makes me shake my head when people think limiting magazines to 10 rounds will do anything...with a little bit of planning a 10 round magazine will only slow someone down a fraction of a second.

I doubt video games influenced his shooting children and other people.. That is so bull crap its not funny.

Just because he kept reloading just shows he doesn't really know how to shoot.. Nor can he count his rounds.

My LCP and Bodygaurd are limited to 6rounds per mag - I have 4 mags for each gun - I have 6+ mags for my Beretta and 5 for Springfield XDm -- plan to own a few more for each gun.

Since its better to load a fresh mag into a gun, then to load loose rounds into a mag when at the range. (more so when its ranges that limit the rounds loaded per mag like a DNR range here in MI does).

Everyone it seems is leaving out one piece. I agree video games and films most likely don't effect people with both oars in the water mentally. What about disturbed individuals?

The batman shooter seemed to be blurring the line. His residence was a supposed bat man lair.

The Norway shooter said he " practiced" with Call Of Duty

The CT shooter was a avid gamer.

So? they have a screw loose? dont blame the game if they are the ones with a screw loose.

I seriously cannot see how a person can blame a video game for some nutjobs acts.. thats like blaming rock music for sex and drug use among teenagers of the 50s..

Now its all "peer pressure" for drug use and etc..
or for the columbine shooting it was bullies..

Seriously its the nutjob that commits the act..
not the tools used, nor the music they listen to, video games/movies..

Might even take a look at how the parents acted to their goofy kid? (just incase it was improper parenting)
but then most parents Ive met / talked to wouldn't take any responsibility for there kids stupid behaviors. (ie when the little monster kicks a stranger in store, or throws a toy at them)
