Vet's home ransacked, arrested. abused

Unbelievable When does this S_ _t end.It does'nt matter if your a War Vet, or just an every day Citizen.

This Stomping on our 2nd Amendment Rights has to end, and end now.

The way Police Departments, and the Government are acting, You would think we are Under Marshal Law.

I know we all sit, and read these Post of Abuse, and Unthinkable acts agaisnt Citizens. We spout off and Complain about all of it.

But, what are we doing to Correct the Issues. I'm one of the Biggest Procrastinators I sit here and Post what is on my mind upon reading these post's, and an hour later I have forgotten all about it.

I know I'am only one person, But I'am going to, From this point on
Do my best To Correct, Educate, pass along all the Negative Information that is posted about Legally Armed, Responcible Citizens.

I belong to Several Different Shooting Clubs, and hold Memberships in Several Pro 2nd Amendment Organizations.
Where I believe I could Start Providing More Information as to the Abuse, Harrassment, and all around Mis- Treatments of our Brothers/ Sisters in Arms.

If All of us Start to do this, Spread the Information Maybe Just Maybe Poeple will start to listen. I'm taking this personel from here on in, and will do what I can to Spread the Knowledge.

What a bunch of oversealous, blithering idiots.

Reminds me of BSO down here who video themselves bursting into a room with guns drawn, vests and tactical gear on, to arrest........(drum roll please)....unlicensed contractors. "GET ON THE GROUND!! GET ON THE GROUND NOW!!! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST FOR GIVING ILLEGAL CARPET INSTALLATION QUOTES!!!"

clearly the guy wasn't suicidal '' When he stepped outside, he faced assault teams with rifles pointed at his chest. He immediately dropped to his knees, with his hands over his head. ''
and it breaks my heart to hear this kind of abuse and the wanton wrecklessness of officers destroying contents of his home whilst searching it
i hope each and every one who broke and destroyed that vets property is made to pay dearly out of their own pockets any and all damages
if folks would just treat others how they would like to be treated the world would be a better place
clearly also violation of 2nd amendment rights too
i don't think any adult especially vets unless proven already incompetent or mentally unstable should be denied their right to carry and or possess firearms anywhere in the united states
cops were acting more like nazis than human beings excessive force and show of authority rather than coming at a decent hour and talking with the guy could have prevented this whole bs they pulled on him violating many of his civil rights
smmfh at the carried away cops who overstepped their boundaries and violently mishandled and misjudged a situation that could have been dealt with in a more adult and responsible manner

B2Tall,
I Enjoyed Your Resonce, That was Great !!!

Thanks. It's a yearly event down here and I wish I could find the associated video. Embarrassing. Even a lot of deputies down here shake their heads and roll their eyes when it's mentioned. Let's not worry about drug dealers, armed robbers, etc........let's use the tactical units to "take down" illegal drywall hangers and landscapers.

The author of the piece in the OP, Emily Miller, is herself a true 2nd Amendment warrior. Not trying to distract from the subject of her story, it's unconscionable what happened to Sgt. Corrigan, but y'all should follow all of Emily's writings with as much interest and instinct for self-preservation as our Colonist ancestors followed Paul Revere and his contemporaries. She is truly the sounder of alarms. Over the last couple of years she has made it her life's mission to expose the tyrannical City Fathers of DC who have done everything in their power to make the Heller decision insignificant to their uninterrupted oppressive authority over their citizenry. This is her facing down one of them while voicing her support for a bill that would make registering a gun in DC just a tiny bit less untenable:

In Part 1 of the Corrigan series, this quote really got to me:

Wearing a blue suit and black-rimmed glasses, Sgt. Corrigan looked unemotional after the hearing that ended his two-year ordeal. Outside the courtroom, I asked him how he felt. I expected some vindication or, at least, relief. Instead, he was weighed down by the losses and trauma of the experience. “For court, I put on a face showing I’m okay,” he said. “Overall, this has broken me.”

That right there is the point. Breaking law-abiding citizens, even war heroes (Corrigan earned a Bronze Star in Iraq), is what oppressive laws are all about. Make the consequences of defying tyranny too great to bear with your own self intact, and the tyrants have the complacent lemming-like populace that makes their tyranny easy to impose.

In Part 2 of the Corrigan piece, Emily quotes Sgt. Corrigan quoting one of the arresting team-leaders thusly:

“Then the cop said to me, ‘I don’t have time to play this constitutional bu!!sh!t with you. We’re going to break your door in, and you’re going to have to pay for a new door.’”

And that is exactly what the Constitution is to these thugs; bu!!sh!t. This meme is hardly unique to DC or Chicago or NYC. It may be more or less prevalent in one jurisdiction over another as it relates to a given issue, like guns for instance, but the violation of constitutional rights is a daily and pervasive occurrence across this country on a wide variety of issues such as 1st Amendment to 4th Amendment to 5th Amendment violations, all of which were likewise violated in Sgt. Corrigan's case plus his 2nd Amendment rights.

This kind of stuff is much more common than most people will even allow themselves to see, even when thousands of hours of video and gallons of ink have been documenting its pervasiveness for decades. Sgt. Corrigan did the best thing(s) he could've done, especially not giving permission to enter his home or telling them anything other than asking them not to hurt his dog. Most average citizens believe the pap about Officer Friendly being trustworthy and only being there to help. They are there to control, that's it. Believe otherwise at your own peril.

Our veterans are profiled by Homeland Security as possible terrorists. Of course muslems can't be profiled. I can not think of a more discraceful and upside down policy. We must remove these people from office in the election. If this group of traitors remains in office the shame is on our heads. If Obama is returned to office we must have the dumbest and most uninformed electorate in the history of the world.

If this group of traitors remains in office the shame is on our heads.

But no shame should derive from electing this group of traitors?

HR 347 passed with 348 "Yeas" and only 3 "Nays," with 42 of the Republican-controlled House thinking it was so unimportant that they didn't even vote one way or the other. Buh-bye 1st Amendment, it was nice knowin' ya.

If Obama is returned to office we must have the dumbest and most uninformed electorate in the history of the world.

This is true, but it doesn't come close to going far enough. If any politician that voted for 347, NDAA, Patriot Act extensions, confirmation of Sotomayer or Kagan, TARP I & II, bailouts, Kennedy's "No Child Left Behind" BS, Bush's massive drug entitlement program and on and on and on, is reelected, we absolutely do have the dumbest and most uninformed electorate in the history of the world.

Obama is just one part of the overall plan. Republicans are every bit as much a part of it.

THEY - ARE - ALL - WORKING - TOGETHER

Even the V.A. is ready to sell someone out to the cops. This is just one real example of how the Police in DC will use anything to arrest someone and their District Attorney is quick to charge them with a crime. I am sure it cost this person a lot of money defending himself, and getting his guns returned.

That is very true the Police are not your friend and their trying to get people to believe that "Protect and Serve" crap they dish out is just lip service. In my crime infested cow town Tulsa, Oklahoma our Police are here to protect their own, and the public is on their own. They are not to be trusted.

This entire story absolutely disgusts me. :bad:

To see how our out of control 'Gubbament' treats 'Law Abiding' gun owning Citizens and Veterans is the height of hypocrisy & truly PATHETIC!
This is no longer the country that our forefathers fought and died for i.m.h.o. :hang3:

I doubt if it's still the country that most of this generation of combat vets fought for!

WOW. Reading that story you would think you are reading about events in some third world country with a dictatorial government, not the capital city of the United States of America.

DC is a third world country. A banana republic is another fitting description.

If you have heard or understand what Germany 1930, brownshirts, Hitler, Goebbels and the rest of these fascists were all about and you compare them to the piece of garbage in the whitehouse and his trampling of everything this country is about, is this treatment really hard to understand?

A lot has changed in this Country since I grew up in the 1950s, and it's not for the good what has changed.
