very disappointing delay in getting my permit

i received a letter today from the dept of agriculture questioning me about my one and only arrest which happened in 1983 no less!
the whole incident was fabricated by a egotistical bully with a badge who lied profusely on his report tried to stick a felony resist with violence on me and later it was reduced to misdemeanor charges on two counts .....both false testimony on the officers part ! so i have to show a copy that the felony was reduced to a misdemeanor which is going to delay my permit even longer ;(
this ridiculous trumped up bogus charges also cost me a potential job with the post office years ago as well which sucked being i had the second highest score on the carrier position and another very high score on the mail handler position application..i even asked when i was in jail if that was going to hinder my chances and they lied again and said no don't worry about it ...and has also caused other problems gaining employment as well during my working years some jobs hired me anyways being qualified and all......but now this bogus arrest comes back to haunt me still after all those years even grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i hope that bad badged bully gets his due after all the bs his lies cost me during my life thus far.....
i am going to send the copy of the final judgement of the court which still stuck me with
resist arrest without violence and battery misdemeanor...i hope that alone doesn't prevent me from getting my permit???????.....still none of which i was guilty of in the least when he ran my name there was a warrant out for another female with my name and description i think he thought i was and only after spending a night and day in jail did they realize through fingerprints ours did not match.....and they let me go still having a record and still having to do community service to pay my hearing costs at the time i was a young single mother struggling to make ends meet so i had no way to pay court costs.....so i got stuck cleaning the park for like 80 hours of service another bs the system put me through on the count of that officers lies
hopefully being that long ago and no trouble with the law since that one and only time they will reconsider my ccwp application and permit me my right to protect myself with deadly force if necessary
so wish me luck it's going to take longer than expected now that bs case came up after all those years

As long as you can get the Disposition from the Court it will not deny you in getting your permit once you submit that paperwork they will process it and you should have your permit shortly there after.

I would first thing on monday be at the court, or in contact with them so you can get it resolved quickly. Keep us posted and good luck

thanks trophyhunter for the words of encouragement. i do have a copy of the 'felony case filing recommendation'
which states the felony charge was dropped to misdemeanor charges which i copied and will send to tallahassee come monday via snail mail .......i think and hope that should be enough to grant me my permit?

Yeah, good luck Eagleeyes, I am so sorry this has followed you for so long. I'm sure all will work out for you but I hate the fact you are having to wait. I know how I would have felt if I had to wait for my CCW because of some BS.

Sorry I get like that . When you apply for your Ohio Ccw you have to pay more if you haven't lived in Ohio for the last five years non stop . Three years ago I moved to new York for a year . Just didn't bring it up and didn't pay the extra fees and it never came up

They did a FBI statewide backround check and I have had my permit for six months . I saved thirty bucks . Come back to bite me we shouldn't need to get permits to legally concealed carry . Cost 160 for the class 67 to the police . 10 for a passport photo they didn't even use but I had to bring . I think they made enough off of me .

He fought it and won. They gave
Him a hard time but he did beat it. Youll be fine i think you will get it

thanks guys i appreciate that the whole situation is draining my strength as i recall all the times in the past that bogus record caused me major problems in my life.. i'm going to sleep on it and sort out what i need to do to finally get my rights back here. i've endured way more than i should have regarding that issue from the very start

Go to the Clerk of Courts and get a certified copy of the deposition. It will state anyone of these adjudications: guilty, not guilty, dismissed, no action taken. I had the same problem but with the Fed. The Clerk may have to get the arrest report to get the case file to obtain the dipostion. this may take a week or so. It is 25 years old. and under the rules of court, the records can be removed after 5years or 10 years. Florida General Records Schedule GS 11 for Clerks of Court. page 3-5 should give you some knowledge of what you need. When you get the depositition make a copy and send the copy in. Cost is a few $$$ and time.

i did keep a copy of the police report in which that officer lied at least 15 times on and the complaint against me affidavit and the filing recomendation as i never got a trial just a hearing and the paperwork stopped at that which says the felony he tried to pin on me 'resist arrest with violence' was lowered to resist without violence but thing is never resisted at all .i got a copy years ago when it came up in yet another job interview and that time i kept all the paperwork in case i needed it again........ i asked why he felt he had to arrest me and he had no reason so he fabricated one and because he may have thought i was someone that also had my name and wanted for a crime in a nearby city ......at any rate his second bogus charge was battery misdemenor again i no way battered him either.......so this incident could have been avoided if the officer wasn't an a'hole or trying to get his brownie points.......and now it's biting me still as it may hinder me getting my ccwp and then again be very costly just to try and get it expunged more bs i have to go through all because an officer lied!
i just wish i could get it expunged at the citys expense being i've gone through way too much hassle for the last 30 years off an on because of that record and now again so all that i endured on count of that case has been brought back up in my mind and gosh it just literally makes me sick as i ponder all the trouble and stuff that record cost me through the years and still to this day........ ;(
