VersaCarry holsters

If you are looking for a concealed carry holster you might want to consider the VersaCarry. I recently purchased one and I love it. I currently carry a Rock Island 1911cs weighing in a a little over 2 lbs:; the VersaCarry may add another couple of ounces. From a concealed carry standpoint I really like this holster. It is light and it does a good job of securing my weapon. Drawing the weapon is very smooth and easy, my concern about snagging is no more that what I would have if I were to tuck my weapon into my waistband. The Gen 2 version does com with a trigger guard that is optional for installment. I personally choose not to utilize it, I just keep my finger off the trigger until I am ready to fire. Either way the holster is no more limiting or dangerous than the person who is using it. If you carry a concealed weapon you need to practice employing it on a regular basis. So far in my opinion this holster is absolutely fantastic from weight and durability standpoint. The only drawback is that you can not re-holster without removing the VersaCarry from your belt. Do consider that if you draw you weapon you should mean to; so re-holstering at the scene is not usually huge consideration. If you are looking for a holster do take a look at the VersaCarry system. You can find it at www.versacarry.com

I could never carry IWB with the gun itself pushing against me, the uncovered trigger is asking for trouble.

Hmmmm, kydex and metal against the skin--I think not and against a t-shirt maybe but still uncomfortable. I think the best IWB holsters yet are from Brigade Gunleather, Milt Sparks, Crossbreed and Comp-Tac to name a few

I was really intrigued by these, until I saw 'em. I'm really not a fan of any holster that doesn't cover the trigger...sounds like trouble waiting to happen.

OH! Hell no! Minimalistic is not always the answer. That much junk up against the skin is asking for a rash, or worse. The Crossbreed accomplishes the same concealment but offers a higher level of physical, personal comfort. IMHO of course.

I just received my Versacarry for my Beretta PX4 subcompact with Viridian C5L yesterday. I want to wear it several times before I give my final review. Though so far I do like it in comparison to my Crossbreed style holster by Hidden Hybrid. The Versacarry is a lot less bulk and the trigger guard makes for a smoother draw too.

Update: I'm going to pass on the Versacarry for my PX4 SC. Its just not comfortable for it, the pistol rubs against my side along with other issues like trying to wear it sitting down. It may be a better system for a lighter and smooth sided pistol like the Nano. The Versacarry has potential and maybe they'll make a system that protect against the wearer.

I'm going back to my Hidden Hybrid Holster. It may be bulky but its comfortable.
