Vehicle Carry

I have been a CCW permit holder for several years now and will typically vehicle carry since many places in town are posted against carrying. What is the best (in your opinion) method of vehicle carry? I'm thinking some sort of mountable holster, but, am open to suggestions. Thanks!

I use a desantis kingston.

I usually stick my Glock 36 .45 ACP in the center console while driving. When I exit the vehicle, back into the IWB holster.

This got me to thinking, Alien Gear Holsters makes shells and holsters for almost any gun out there. If you were to buy one (just the shell)to fit your weapon and mount it with the spacers provided, you could put it anywhere you want in your car that is handy. It can be made for right or left hand mounting on the console or under the steering wheel column.
I think I will order one for myself and get my makarov out of the glove box.

That actually sounds like a good idea. I've been looking into more tactical methods than my current console option. I've seen a few vids on YouTube with people mounting various kydex holsters in their vehicles. Your idea seems to be a much better option especially price wise. The shell from AG is only $20.
