i just bought one made by century arms and am having problems with it . if you own one please let me know so we an "talk" ........

An easier idea would be to tell us what problems you are having with the Uzi and then let the "experts" in to help.

ok here goes with my UZI problems----- how can i lower my front sight , i bought the tool , filed the sight but am still shooting 8" low at 50 yards [because of my physical limitations i can only shoot from a seated position thus i am a bulls eye shooter . At time with a live round in the chamber all i get a click when i squeeze the trigger , after about 5 or 6 "clicks" it than will go boom . WELL FOLKS THAT IS ABOUT IT SO PLEASE H E L P ! ! !

for the sight post, you should be able to find a shorter post, just as many handgun makers make replacement sights that are taller or shorter to adjust for zeroing distance.
On the hangfires, it sounds like the firing pin spring may need to be replaced. That happens with age/number of rounds fired. I know the amount of force behind that pin is different from a lot of 9mm firearms, too. I've seen Uzi 9mm tracer ammo take 2 or 3 tries to discharge in a normal 9mm handgun, and it was due to the primers in the Uzi ammo being harder.

UZI front sight post

Is yours like this? If so, do you have it screwed all the way down? That screw distance is to adjust the sight height. When you have it where you want it, loc-tite it in place.

Glasswolf answered well. Replace the front sight depending on what distance you typically shoot from.

Also, I'd agree, if it takes a few pulls of the trigger before you get a "boom", the firing pin is mostly likely worn.

Glass, thanks for the website link.

UPDATE ON UZI INFO........... I don't think it is a worn firing pin because the rifle has only had about 50 rounds fired thru it . when checking the spent brass the hit on the primer is DEEP , the deepest have ever seen ! !

What ammo are you using?
