Uzi-Eagle .40 Cal information

I am looking at purchasing a Uzi-Eagle .40 Cal. I have not fired one and do not know a lot about this weapon. It appears to be a compact enough weapon to conceal easily and should have enough stopping power. The problem is I have not been able to find any other information about the weapon. I am interested in the value, functionality, reliability and accuracy. Is there anyone that has one, is familiar with it, or can let me know where to find more information about it?

Thanks

Check out a forum called 941forum.com, its kinda like a cult. Charles Daly was the last importer of the baby eagle/jericho line and since they went under no one is importing them. Kahr recently purchased magnum research and has said they will be importing them in the future.

I used to own a fullsize 941 and never considered it concealable, it was huge and heavy (4.7" barrel) but was accurate as hell and comfortable in the hand. If you like the baby eagle check out the CZ-75 its the gun the baby eagle is copied from.

More information

The Uzi-Eagle has gone by different names over the years depending on who is importing it at the time. It has been called the Mossberg-Eagle, Magnum Research Baby Eagle, IMI Jerrico Pistol, and perhaps a few other names. You might try searching for info on the other names.

I didn’t realize there where so many different manufactures and models, so I did some online checking of the weapon. I couldn’t find any reviews, but did narrow down the model (I Think ). It is the Compact Uzi-Eagle with the polymer frame. I do remember that it had the white Uzi-Eagle emblem on the side, but I couldn’t find one that matched that on the internet. I also saw a few on the net that said Baby Eagle on the side, the one I am looking at did not have that, it’s only other markings was IMI. It did not say anything about Jericho or 941 on it either. Please let me know if anyone knows what model it is.

Can you post a pic or a link to the gun? That would help identification.

I believe there is only one manufacturer, IMI or IWI, they changed their name but same entity. The names and model changes are the result of whoever was importing them at any given time.

Mossberg - UZI Eagle
Magnum Research - Jericho 941 and/or Baby Eagle
Charles Daly - Jericho 941

The original name was Jericho 941 and it came equipped to shoot 2 calibers (2 barrels, 2 mags for each, 2 recoil springs) 9mm and the .41AE caliber. Hence the 941.

I have to attach 2 pictures. I can not currently able to get a picture of the one I am looking at because I am deployed to Iraq. I am looking now, so if does look like a good deal, I will buy it from this guy when I get home.

The first picture is what the pistol looks like, the second is the white lettering that is on the side. These two pictures are taking off the internet from two pictures because I can not find a .40 cal that has that frame with that marking.

I do know that is does not say "Magnum Research, Jericho 941, or Baby Eagle " anywhere on the pistol. It does have the IMI lettering on it.

It is only .40 cal, not .41 and 9mm.

The first pic looks like one of the newer polymer Jericho and the second is tiny but it looks like it might be a steel frame Uzi Eagle. I thought all the Uzi Eagle were steel frames but I could be wrong. I havent been able to find out much on specific Uzi Eagle models, I saw some that were just called long slide for the full size and short slide for the compacts. I did find som auctions of Uzi eagles that sold recently and they went for around 310.00 and they were lsited in excellent shape so I wouldn't pay more than that for the pistol.

Here is a review of Baby Eagle pistols but the info in it will pertain to the Uzi Eagle also since they are the same.
The Baby Desert Eagle

You should post this question over at 941forum.com they live and breathe all things Jericho/Baby Eagle/Uzi Eagle. If they cant help you no one can.

Hey I own a uzi eagle with white lettering in 40 cal it is fantastic gun I picked mine up for 350 it is accurate as can be I can make a 2 in group at 25 feet double action I highly recomend this gun it is easily concealable with a 10 round mag u cant beat it especialy with the tritium night sights and nice decocking feature as long as u remember to throw the safety off after decocking so u can fire double action if needed
