Utah CCW Instructor Class

I am thinking about going to Utah to take the CCW Instructor class. Does anyone have any recomondations on which month would have the best upcoming whether and is there any good places to go shoot in Salt Lake. Will be in town over a weekend.

The weather is varying between 40 and 80 degrees right now so it is hit and miss. It will sort itself out soon and just be hot.

You will want to be a little more specific on where you are going to stay, I am about 40 miles to the north and could recommend for this area but I do not know for salt lake itself. Maybe others could recommend for that area.

Many places are closed on Sunday. As for places to shoot, stay away from "Get Some Guns & Ammo" and "Doug's". The people at "Get Some" are jerks and there are many yahoos' at "Doug's". I shoot at "Impact Guns" in Ogden, but that might be out of the way for you if you'll be mostly in SLC. Cabela's has a nice range, or check out the Lee Kay Center.

There are many motels outside of SLC that are moderately priced. If you're looking for luxury, then check out the larger brand name hotels.

I found the class to be very informative and educational. I'm due for my re-cert towards the end of the month.
