Using other peoples pistols

Is there any rule/law against using other permit holders pistols at the range?

If there is me and a bunch of friends have been breaking it over and over for years........

In NY it is technically illegal. To possess a handgun it must be on your permit. Unless you do that first it is illegal.

In NY state you can use another person's pistol even if not on your license so long as you are in an official match or training session with a qualified instructor, I believe.

Also, someone 16 to 21 yrs old can while under direct supervision of a license holder, I seem to recall. Best to check these things before you do them.

I AM NOT A LAWYER NOR DO I PLAY ONE ON TV.

I think the only restriction in Utah would be if one party is restricted from possessing a firearm, ie a felon. Other than that no restrictions.

To be honest, it is hard for me to believe this question is actually being asked. (though I fully understand why) It is so so sad that the laws are so strict in some states that it is a legitimate question.

Absolutely incorrect. There is no issue using someone els'es gun as long as the licensed owner remains present.

As long as you have a NYS pistol license, and the registered owner of the gun is present, you are permitted to use it.
