I have searched and searched and i have had no luck in finding a sr22 for my wife. Does anyone know where i might be able to find one? It is always nice to see fellow gun owners like myself who enjoy talking on forums. Thanks for any info in advance.

All guns are hard to find these days. You just need to keep looking. On-line auctions like gunbroker.com, armslist.com, etc are another option.

Seems like ever since that last shooting things have been pretty crazy even online. I have looked everywhere. I am hoping to locate a SR22 pretty quick old lady is going for the safety class 1/26/2013 and i really would like for her to use something with less kick to it. She has tried all my guns and well to be honest she is unable to deal with the recoil.

Welcome, ITCH. I've only been here since July myself - one thing you'll notice around here, this forum is composed of an outstanding group of people. You're gonna enjoy it.
I don't have an answer for your question, tho. It's like you said, since Newtown the industry's gone hog wild. Good luck in your search. Purple's suggestion's the best advice.

I have been a gun owner since i was 16 and i have never seen it this bad. I mean it took me 2 weeks to even find some ammo for some of my autos. Yeah everything is so crazy right now that is for sure.

Gallery of Guns shows two models of the Walther P22 avail. One is desert camp the other is black.

Why not a. 380 or 9mm? They don't kick hard and she could actually use it for CC purpose.

I am trying to locate a Ruger SR22. Oh i was thinking the same thing. But you know how a woman can be sometimes. She wants and she wants.

Yeah, I know. It's better for new shooters to start out with a 22, but maybe you can convince her to give something else a try so she'll have some actual stopping power if she ever needs it. There's not much diff between the P22 and SR22 other than the Ruger is US made.

Yeah she shot one of those SR22 not long ago and she liked it so much she now wants one. She goes for the safety class 1/26/2013 and i am trying to find her one. Looking for this gun has been a major pain in my a&&

Oh there are several guns here at the house that can protect her. But then again i don't need her blowing my door off the hinges LMFAO

I am pretty sure I saw one in the case at the local gun store here. I don't know where you live but it can probably be sold and transferred easily. They are going to be at the gun show in town this weekend

Gun.Broker has a few on there site. But i have never bought a fire arm online before. Could someone explain the process to me? The one i seen i think they were asking $335 for it with the BUY IT NOW OPTION. Thanks

I will call them first thing Monday morning. Thanks for letting me know i appreciate it. I am getting two of them he he

I went to one of the main gun stores here and he said it had been crazy there lately. He said people have been coming in saying "I'll take whatever you got". He had hardly any guns left, and this is the main store in town. I was looking for some 9mm ammo and as luck would have it he had 3 boxes left, I got all three!

Itch, I purchased a Walther P22 (basically same gun) for my wife a few years ago, but after using it a few times she didn't like all the steps involved...We have since purchased the LCR22, very simple, 8 shots, point and shoot. Easy to carry in a purse or pocket, light no hammer. The best things is she is comfortable with it and loves to shoot it

Own One

Itch, have you thought about a holster for the SR22 by Ruger. I bought one for the wife also and found such a limited selection of holsters for it I have changed the purpose of this weapon it is no longer for CC. I purchased a threaded barrel for it and it is now a house gun for the wife. Rumors also have it that the take down lever which is not metal has a failure rate of around 300 rounds. This has not been the case with mine and mine hasn't shown any significant wear or damage. Welcome and enjoy the forum.
