*U.S.Troops ordered to Disarm in Afghanistan*

Just think what the administration is going to do IF Obama gets re-elected. Then they won't have the prospect of re-election to worry about and have 4 years to finish the transition to the United Socialist Republic of America unhindered.

They did that to USMC on an Island during WWII the night before they were to depart for another.
The only ammo to be found was with the SeaBee's. The Japs attacked that night.
The attack failed but how many US military lost there lives because of a redicules order.

Not that I support our present administration, this is not a new issue. Over my 31 years as a Marine I have been disarmed in the past in a combat zone for VIP's.
 
I won't bash on the administration or Panetta but all I have to say about the matter is that Im embarrassed knowing that we don't trust our own men and women in uniform to carry weapons in the field of combat. It disgusts me.

What happens when our boys start getting shot by the ragheads. They are already at a disadvantage. Can not tell the good guys from the bad.
 
Decision to disarm was made by Area Commander, a Marine General, not by any politicos. As stated previously by rclinton 46, I also served for 30 years active duty in the Corps including a total of six years in RVN. We were never allowed at any big function ( USO Show, Visiting VIPs , etc) while bearing arms. They always had sufficient armed security on the perimeter in case of outside attack. There was no real need for us to be armed. This was pretty much SOP. I am sure, as a Marine, that there was ample perimeter security to safeguard the troops. This whole thing is being warped to feed a political agenda. Can't we be truthful about anything anymore?
 
Why has the Fort Hood Muslim Killer never brought to trial? Is there some sort of pattern here? What would have happened when these solders were disarmed, and these Rag Head decided to launch an attack…What a bunch of sick wackos….where am I what county am I in again? Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!
 
Disarm my foot. The only disarming that needs to occur is AFTER their flight lands in on conus soil.

If BHO gives such an order and it's followed then each and every service member had better jump-ship and get on the first aircraft out of the country. Been in that country. The radical nut-jobs and warlords in that country cannot be trusted. Proof of this is their reaction to the lone sniper rampage, they started killing their own people and you can bet the first opportunity they get our troops will be the next target.

Many of the people over there are so blind on such matters that they cannot see that those telling them to be martyrs for Islam are not willing to do so themselves because they know it's an outright lie. I had to watch a 14 year old kid suffer from his wounds for nearly 11 months as a result of his bad decision to listen to a radical nut-job. He had the epiphany that he had been lied to by this radical, by higher ups in his mosque, and by the book itself since he had lived by the book yet he had not been cast into martyrdom as promised.
 
I have this to say about Pannetta. If he had any true courage at all and a true understanding of the position he fills in the chain of command, he would have issued an immediate countermand to that order. Also he should have changed the wording of the second part of what he was quoted on to "We will be undermined by politicians leading the military".

What is inevitable in a war run by true military men? Casualties and hard fought victory!

What is inevitable in a run war run by politicians and generals influenced by politicians? Mass casualties, national embarrassment and/or defeat!!
 
Most here haven't even been in the Military. It's not a new thing. Solders aren't disarming. Only the one allowed in the tent. Why make it seem like the Military is running around with no weapons to defend itself. Dumb

Well I have actually served honorably as a military police officer in the Army.
Many folks here in this forum have also served honorably within our military, so I have to strongly disagree with your post.

Also, If I was actively serving in this scenario (inside the tent), I would have been very insulted and discouraged by being ordered to disarm in that situation. If our own leaders don't trust us to be armed in the field of a war zone then what is happening to our country back at home??

So you must have seen this before. It's happen with all Presidents. My family has been Military since WW1. To make a post sound like the are dis arming out troops is dumb. Propaganda. Just like Nam , and the rest
