TSA Seeing Record in San Antonio and Nationwide, in Gun Seizures at Airports | News Radio 1200 WOAI

"So far this year at San Antonio International, 29 weapons have been confiscated at the TSA checkpoints, the majority of them loaded and packed in carry on luggage."

I don't know any of you but it seems that this is being claimed as a sign of "victory" for some estrange reason?

The article is so full of bullpoop it's unreal. While perhaps the larger prevalence of concealed permits has resulted in dumbasses carrying through the checkpoints the rest of the article is hooey.

" It is not illegal to take a firearm when you travel on an airplane, if you have a permit to carry it."

Actually it is and this is why they check for the guns at the security checkpoint. The scary thing is that many of these people aren't safely carrying they just through loaded weapons in their bag and "forgot" they were there. How do you forget you have a weapon with a chambered round. Not responsible gun ownership.

Correct, and even if you take this statement to go with the previous wrong statement, it's still wrong. You don't need a permit to check a weapon like this.

They have to crow about something, since it seems their score in finding terrorists is about zero.
