Trying to get licenses.

Looking for this info on here and haven't seen it. My wife and I live in Indianapolis (Marion County), and have filled out online applications for licenses. It says the next step is to go to "local" police depatment. I researched online and have asked gun owners I work with about it and have gotten differing answers as to were we need to go. If anyone has an answer or can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You'll need to go to the state capitol building for fingerprinting (located just south of IUPUI campus but north of Washington street...not sure of the address but I do know it's the north building) AND the city/county building located at 50 W. Alabama St I believe for fingerprinting there as well. The security at both locations can direct you to where you need to go in each building. I'm not sure if the state capitol building requires you to make an appointment but I did online and it went fairly smoothly.

Your County Sheriff can do all of it. Need a Pass port type picture to send in as well. At least thats how i did...

My wife and I both went and paid the fees, got fingerprinted, and are now just playing the waiting game for our licenses.

Rock on! It took me a long time, but I was a special case too. Most of my friends have gotten theirs back within a couple weeks

I live in Hancock County and had my license in 11 days after I paid the fees to the Sheriff.

No pictures in Indiana ...
Did mine on a Friday and got it on Monday. Use L1 to do fingerprints. If you live in the city the city LEO's are supposed to handle it and if you are in the county(yes everything is in a county) the sheriff will take care of it... I love Indiana!!!

I got mine through Hancock County and I was amazed at how fast I got it, paid the Sheriff on Wed. the permit was at my house the following Tues.!
Not sure if that's good or bad that I can be checked out that quick??

i got mine in 8 days from filing with a L-1 finger print... you should have yours soon

FYI... We just got our permits through the mail today! Just shy of a five week wait. Well worth it though.
