trying to concealed carry an xdm 5.25

So i just moved to north carolina. I am in the midst of getting my ccw permit here. I definately feel the need to get it asap due to the crime in certain areas close by. My question is, being that the only pistol i have here is a big ol xdm 5.25 .45 acp. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to go about concealing properly. Especially with summer here and not having the luxury of excess baggy clothing. Holster recomendations? Styles? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Highly recommend the Concealment Solutions Black Mamba or Crossbreed Supertuck. I've carried a full size S&W 1911 weighing 39 oz unloaded. And either one is extremely comfortable.

+1 on the Crossbreed .. i know lots of folks who carry full size 1911's .. different holsters for different size folks ..

Hybrid IWB of some sort. I have carried my long slide glock 35 which is almost identical in length to your XDM.

+1 for Crossbreed supertuck and a good belt (theBeltman.net, he's in Apex NC). That works for me here on NC for my XD 45 & XD9 subcomp
