Traveling with my gun?

Nevada CCW resident. Traveling on vacation in 3 states that do not recognize my CCW. New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado. From what I have been able to understand from researching these states, while traveling through and to these states it is lawful for me to have a loaded hand gun in the passenger compartment, but in these states that do not recognize my Nevada resident CCW, I know I cannot carry on my person in my car in these states. What is your understanding? Thanks

You need to go and check the laws in each of these states if you had gotten Fla when you got NV you would be good in all but Co. if you have a smart phone there is a CCW app gives you all the laws as you are traveling

In Colorado, you can have a loaded handgun (pistol/revolver) under 14" or so barrel length in your vehicle. Of course it's smart to lock it up while you are not in your vehicle, but while you are in your vehicle it can be anywhere. Colorado is not a must inform state and I've only been asked once if I had a gun in the vehicle and that was 16 years ago.

Oh, and if you open carry, it's legal except for the city and county of Denver. I believe Breckenridge has some restriction too, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks very helpful post and confirms what I am finding on line. I wanted to know about Wyoming for when I go to Yellowstone national park. Also New Mexico when I would travel back to Kansas taking the southern route. Thanks again.
