Traveling to San Juan, Puerto Rico

I've been looking around but I am not a gun law expert and quite honestly feel best hearing others' interpretations of law. Recently, his past June, the gun laws changed in Puerto Rico and is now, from what I understand, a "constitutional carry" territory.

I am going to be traveling down there in a few weeks with my fiancé and was curious if I'd be able to carry my pistol on me. I have a KS conceal carry permit.

Any advice is appreciated and if anybody knows where I can get better information please advise.

I believe there is a stay pending appeal or some other action pending in the court system. I would not suggest carrying our attempting to do so in PR currently.

mossyoaktoe, I am in the same situation. Looking at going with family in Feb 2016. I would be interested to hear how your trip goes.
I was excited to see the June ruling all can carry with out permit. But Boundlessdyad says that might not stick.

I don't think you can do that. To be able to get a conceal carrying permit there you need to invest about $1,000, hire a lawyer, talk to a judge and explain why you want to carry a gun. All that it takes at least one year. In Puerto Rico you can buy a gun but store won't release it to you until you get your permit.
