Parents of students at Carroll County schools in Baltimore, Md., say a new policy that scans kids’ palms to pay for their lunches goes too far.
With the PalmSecure system, students hover their hands over an infrared scanner that ID’s them by the unique patterns in their skin and registers a sale, according to a report from the Daily Herald.
The Herald talked to Mike Richmond, who has two children at a Westminster elementary school. He said the scanning started before parents were given the chance to opt-out.
“I didn’t appreciate how they handled it. I’m concerned about it. I know it’s the way of the future, but it’s fingerprinting, it’s palm-printing.”
The district said the goal is to decrease the time it takes to pay for lunches since the children have a limited amount of time to eat their meals.
The controversial system is operating in three Carroll County elementary schools with plans to expand to the whole district within a year. It’s also used in many other schools around the country where there have also been concerns about invasion of privacy as well as the cost of the system. Once implemented, PalmSecure will run the Carroll County district about $300,000.

Most all computers now use "finger" scanning as a security measure.

I've also heard some banks also use finger print recognition on consumers.

IMHO; the 666 chip is just around the corner.

Not to worry about the boys if they are anything like me during their teen years the skin on their palms will be worn away and therefore it will change the palm print patterns.

Just heard yesterday another Maryland county school district near Delaware will also start the lunchtime palm scanner.
This stuff is coming fast...the chip in Texas or the scanner, looks like some will need the mark just to eat.

Makes perfect sense. All part of the "dumbing down" process. Get the kiddies used to it by forcing them young. By the time they are adults, it will be ok to do it to them for just about anything. Parents should not only be pissed, but they should keep their kids home in protest.

All that for $300,000 of YOUR money.

Yep...Our government has been trying to dumb down it's citizens for decades now.
And the LibTards on this forum like OtisM are proof that they are doing a pretty good job of it.

Yep, prelude to the mark of the beast. Get 'em used to the idea then when it comes time for the real deal, it's business as usual just another hand scan.

I.see no issue with this. Technology is amazing and makes our lives more efficient.

It also makes it far more complicated than it needs to be not to mention far less private than ever before. I'll be glad to see the day when a class X level 10 solar flare wipes out all satellites and electronics. Technology had good intentions until it was turned against us all in the name of the NWO power elite.
