For a charter arms .38 snub nose. Thoughts on that ?

If you found someone dumb enough to trade for a gun that you sanded all the bluing off of go for it.

Why not have both? It's not like they're expensive guns. Do you dislike the LCP?? I have an LCP as well as a snubbie and I like them both. I carry each frequently.

My wife and I owned a LCP, and two TCPs, along with a S&W snubby, the LCP was he first to go, we did not care for the gun, we liked the TCPs much better, better feel, two mags, slide locks back, so IMHO make the trade, besides the LCP is basicly a copy of the little Keltec, that you pay more for

I think I'm going to trade but what peoples opinions on the charter arms .38 the pics I got from the guy looks nice ... Wood grips .. Great shape.. My buddy who loves guns says go for it , my dad says shouldn't do it because he's never heard of charter arms I'm stuck lol

honestly, if it were me, I would not trade but if you like it better then that's your call. I am partial to my LCP and carry it a lot. I will go without food for a week before I sell that gun. In my opinion, it's just an amazing gun and I can't think of anything I would put in it's place.

If the Ruger LCP is reliable for you, I would keep it. It is easier to conceal and has 2 additional rounds. I bought a Ruger LCR (really like it), but find myself carrying my Kel-Tec .380 (basically the same as the LCP) much easier in summer dress. If dependability is in question, well you can't go wrong with a wheel gun.

I bet some of the members of this forum would chip in the money to buy you a Charter Arms revolver in exchange for the promise you will quit posting all the BS threads and responses.

Read the rule book:

1) For a gun to qualify for open carry it must be larger than a packet of ketchup.[/QUOTE]

Lol

Pretty much. Would be better if the gubment would step in and pay for stupidity, but thats never been done before.

My advice is keep the LCP for now. It is a known quantity from a respected American maker.

I would be wary of buying any used firearm without being able to handle it personally. There is always the possibility that the gun has been abused. I would want to check the cylinder lockup and bore-to-cylinder alignment, then the flash gap and look for possible frame stretching from too many hot loads. Barrel condition is also on the list of things to check. How about buggered screw heads?
