took the course how long till ?

I recently took the handgun course got figerprinted. now waiting for something. do i get something in the mail,a phonecall, or what? i guess patience isn't one of my strong points

It varies from state to state. Where are you trying to get a permit???

Call your course instructor he can answer your questions, but if its like most states after you can finger printed it all goes to a state office and when some overworked prosessor gets around to it they will do the nessessary checking and then they do there paperwork, then it goes to the mail room, you will get your permit eventualy, but i would not be waiting by the mailbox

According to the State Pemit info for Conneticut on this website, the authorities have 8 weeks to inform you whether your app has been approved or not. Unfortunately you are in a "May Issue" State, so whether you actually get one is up to some stupid Bureaucrat and how they feel that day. Best of luck!!
