With the approach of Flag Day (June 14th) here is a link to a site that explains the history of our observance of our great flag. There are also links within the website on how to properly take care of your flag and properly salute it.

I hope you all enjoy.

Mine is out 24/7 and under a light at night. I also fly it in honor of two of my children, one Army one Air Force. Fighting for our right to express our opinions. God bless the Military and all those in harms way! God bless America!

Thanks for the reminder. I don't have a night light, so I don't fly it 24/7. Every year I wait for the Fourth of July so I can fly my flag with 13 stripes and 13 stars. I got it from the NRA several years ago.

We fly ours 24/7/365 and .5 during leap year...change it when it get tattered. Unfortunately we have not been flying it yesterday and today because our front porch is being demolished and re-done...I have Flag Day on my calendar so we are aware of it and line the middle island of our street with little flags.

@ fuhr52, I can relate to you, I have a son-in-law in army getting ready to go back over there late this year. Always nervous about the thought of it, but very proud and back him 110%. If i was physically able, I am more than ready to go with him and stand shoulder to shoulder, taking care of business. God Bless and watch over our boys, always.
