Tomb of The Unknown Soldier

The guard sternly addresses a group of people laughing at the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier.
Not a peep was heard afterwards.
Notice how he went about it .... steps off the black mat, made his comment, proceeded to the end of the mat without getting back on until he reached the end .... then stepped onto the mat again to begin his 21 steps again.

Thank you for posting this! And I totally agree...this should be in the news, our soldiers do not get the respect they deserve. Sending a HUGE thank you to all that serve, past, present and future!!

wow that is awesome. I wonder what that soldier would have done if someone had continued to be loud and disrespectful....hmm.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for the Tomb Guards and the honor and respect they demand, command and have earned.

More have been awarded the MOH, than have been awarded the Tomb Badge! And yes, they are authorized to use force, though they've never had to. I will go so far as to state, very few people have any idea of what they go through to earn the badge. Even fewer of you would even have the ability to earn it.

PS No, I never earned that honor.

A well done to this young man and all the people that he walks with at the tomb. They walk for all of our brother and sisters that have worn one uniform or another in the service of our great country and for those that never made it home.
Semper Fi!
