Just returned from the ceremony here in Creswell. They named the ones from here that didn't return. The most notable was Duane Hodges who was the only fatality on the USS Pueblo. May they all rest in peace.

Today is to "Thank Our Soldiers For Our Freedoms"
Too late...we invited some friends for a barbeque lunch in our backyard...I think some of them are still there and I'm already sick of it so I am here in my den. We used to have our fly-ins on Memorial Day weekend and honour the fallenand the still living amongst us on a Friday with a fly-by we dearly called Friends Gone West..., but many were complaining that that weekend is the only time some of them see their grandchildren and children so we moved our fly-in to June. We still honour them whether they have passed on or not. This is the reason we have the freedom to be able to have a peaceful, friendly get-together with friends and neighbours not only during Memorial Day weekend but all through the summer and autumn -- we owe our soldiers for this freedom.

Grab a chair and have a beer on me, mate. A hot 98°F heat is not the time to go inside the house and have a descent meal.
