To the people who think that owning a gun will degenerate the country two hundred years to the Wild West days and everyone should carry a six gun.
Nope don’t want to do that, whether or not someone feels they feel safer that they either carry a gun or have a gun for protection is a personal question they and only they have to ask themselves.

The results of a Center for Disease Control study on gun violence that President Barack Obama ordered to great fanfare in January are in, and they’re something he would rather have swept under the rug. They’ll also crush the messaging in the Democratic anti-gun playbook.
The CDC found that firearms are used more for self-defense than they are in the commission of crimes, noting:
Almost all national survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million per year, in the context of about 300,000 violent crimes involving firearms in 2008.
Also, From John Lotts book, “More guns, Less Crime”, the government statistics state that whenever there are areas where there are more legal guns in the community there are less gun crimes.
So, not to give further detail about why I promote the actions of an individual’s desire as to whether to carry or own a gun, facts prove that, policemen are not there to protect you, (as per the supreme court) they are there to pick up the pieces after an incident has happened.
When have you ever heard of a policeman stopping a crime against an individual person, maybe 1% of the time, maybe?
The person who deems that it is necessary to carry a gun isn’t out looking for someone to shoot, that is the very last thing they are thinking, they are looking out to protect themselves and their loved ones from a criminal who, when given the opportunity will, in most cases commit the crime if an opportunity arises where he thinks he can both get away with it and not get harmed by the person he’s attacking.
