To be 6 Again...

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, watching his wife, who was
looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not
far off he asked what she'd like to
have for her birthday.

'I'd like to be six again', she replied, still looking in the mirror .

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day! He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall
of Fear, the Screaming Roller Coaster, everything there was.

Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was
reeling and her stomach felt upside
down. He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a
chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy,
M&M's. What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted.

He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, 'Well Dear, what was it like being six again?'

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed.

'I meant my dress size, you #@&*!!!!'

The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he is gonna
get it wrong.

Well, I am one woman who thinks that the wife in the joke acted like an ungrateful idiot. IMO, her husband was very sweet to try to make her birthday wish come true. Guess I fail to see the humor in THIS joke. Sorry, ralph.

CW&M, While you seem to be a wonderful loving person, not all are.

One Friday after work, my wife and I decided to drive the 50 miles over to her parents' house to visit. We got there shortly after Pa-in-Law arrived from work. Apparently he had stopped and bought flowers, just because. We walked in, she was between him and the door, and berating him with comments about "stealing them off someone's grave".

To women like that, NO man will ever get it right.

I'll bet that your mother-in-law never got flowers from Pa-in-law again. How sad! It would have made her man feel so special if she had just let him know how much she appreciated the "Just Because" flowers. And both of them would have ended the day on such a pleasant note. It takes much less effort to smile and be kind than it does to rant and rave. Wish more women (and men) knew that. There would be many more marriages like my husband's and mine -- 44th anniversary this coming July -- and we truly cherish every day we spend together! :pleasantry:

I used to be married to someone else...name escapes me at the moment. I drove trucks for 12 years, and for a while I was running New York and having to return by way of the Lincoln Tunnel. The Reverend Moon was thoughtful enough to have flower vendors perched at the entrance to the Tunnel every Friday evening and I fell into the habit of bringing home a handful every Friday. This went on for weeks until, one Friday, I was assigned to a different run and didn't come home that way. When I walked through the door she gave me this wilting look and asked, "Where's my flowers?"

I never brought her flowers again.

All that "vinegar" drove whats-her-name's husband away. Her loss, not yours, Ektarr!

Congrats. It will be 41 for me and my bride this Dec.

Now I feel young. It'll be 22 years for my wife and I, in October.

Congrats to you and your wife ricbak.
Wolfhunter you and the misses have a good start already and I will tell you as I am sure you already know the time accelerates the older you get. It seems just like the other day the wife and I were just a couple kids and now we are a couple of old folks.
