thoughts on shot shells

I have a .38 spl wondering how well a shot shell would work for sd ? It looks a lot like a mini shotgun load so I was wondering ? Any input thanks

The rifling tends to throw the shot all over the place. No good for two-legged critters.

Shot shells are most effective when fired out of a shotgun. Use good quality expanding ammunition for your SD handgun for best results.

I wondered the same thing but there just isn't the expansion and power needed. I might get some for squirrel and rabbit though.

No shot shells for SD in pistols. They make nasty superficial wounds, but they,generally, do not penetrate deeply enough to reach vital organs .
