I would bet that many who own more than 5 guns legally have that many rounds on hand. Go to a range with an AR-15 and you can burn through 500 rounds in no time. Not hard to go thru 500 rounds of 9mm either in an evening. I've shot about 2000 rounds so far this year and haven't been to the range in 3 months.
