I’m not going to lie or sugarcoat things. Preparing for disaster does require money. However, it probably doesn’t cost as much as you think.

There are three main ways that you can go about stockpiling emergency food:
1. Buy instant meals from the supermarket
2. Buy non-perishable goods (dry staples and canned) from the supermarket
3. Buy food buckets with Meals Ready to Eat (MREs)

Here I will break down the costs of each approach and their pros/cons so you can get started!

My Thoughts:

I would be lacking to not worn everyone here that the use of MRE’s long term isn’t really good for your digestive system, once and awhile isn’t a problem, but be careful with the long term use.
