Thinking about a Bond Arms Texas Defender .44Spc

I know it isn't the best option out there, but what is... being that it's all personal taste. Anyway, do any of you own one, used on, or have experiance in anyway with one? I'd like to get some opinions!

Thanks guys... and gals!

I have one in .45LC/.410 Shot Shell.
Trigger is a bit heavy. Recoil is mild. I is my BUG to my Colt LW Commander.

Believe it or not this was my first handgun. I loved it but quickly realized 2 shots was not enough for me for self defense so I gave it to my husband as a backup. I am not sure if Bond Arms is still doing this but I bought mine at a gun show used and when I called Bond Arms about additional barrels, they offered me an additional barrel for half price. So my husband now has a total of three interchanging barrels. I also bought him the jumbo rosewood handle and that made him very happy :)

It fits nice in the jframe holsters but my husband likes it in an ankle holster. Yes you can get the 22LR barrel which makes it great for plinking and changing the barrel is easy and fast.

Never used one but we sell 2-3 just about every gun show (various O/U Bonds, not just the Texas Defender). They have a very loyal following. Never heard anyone complain but I sure have heard their owners rave about them. Of course it's a niche firearm and not for everyone.

Thanks B2Tall, I've been told by a few varying gunsmiths that the design is faulty... I suppose they are referencing to over-use(maybe) causing breaks. Then again, they do seem to have a following and they seem to work in the videos i've seen.
