That's impressive skill, for sure. The only issue is it's under ideal conditions... nothing like a life or death fight where you may very well have been caught of guard, or off step, perhaps after being pushed to the ground, hit in the face, stabbed, slowed b/c you had to push your family out of the way, or the BG grabbed your wife instead of you, or there's already a gun in your face, or you're in your car, or getting out, or in, or loading groceries into the trunk, or out or any number of other things that will likely screw up your otherwise perfect draw.

I see quite a few problems, altho the guy IS thinking. If it is not done open carry, the response is likely to be too slow for the guy at arm/s length. One little weak-handed palm heel strike aint all THAT likely to buy you the time needed for a ccw draw. Especially if you aint using the bs "hanging open coat tail" method of ccw". You know, the one that reveals the gun anytime that the wind blows or you move fast or you reach back for your wallet? That one.
Now, if you start "hand in pocket", on the gun, THAT ccw draw is fast enough for such a scenario, but you'd better be ready to use a lot more hand to hand stuff, due to the attacker's adrenalin rending your bullets not immediately effective! The defender SHOULD have been side stepping AS he drew, to "buy" that extra 1/4 second needed for the attacker to have to swing HIS gun over to the defender's new location, and he should have continued to move while he fired the other shots, too. Airsoft is the key to SAFELY learning how to do all this sort of stuff, before risking a screwup during live firing. Most people will trip over their own feet during such training, and fire some ND's as they fall.

I dunno what purpose is being served by firing the gun upside down? we used to use this method for testing the gun for reliability of function. maybe for a wounded trigger finger? why would you not just switch hands? oh, i see, but again, if it was not an openly carried belt rig, the response would be too slow for such a close range engagement. What you'd better do, instead of 1.5-2 seconds of (highly to be fumbled) flopping around, is just charge in with unarmed techniques, or flee (at least, to some point of cover). 2 seconds is REALLY slow if you have no cover. Each of your enemies can easily be getting 4 hits per second on you at those ranges, especially with the very cheap to practice with, easy to use well .22 auto pistol. 2 enemies means 16 holes in you. Aint it funny how WE are worried about someone charging US in 1 second flat, but then, if it's US that aint got a gun (or we're wounded) we'll HAVE lots of time before we get charged, or we never THINK about swarming all over the attack with our OWN unarmed attack?
I think that the entire thing about (slowly) looking to left and right (to break the tunnel vision problem) is mostly bs. One, you probably won't remember to do that, and two, your enemy probaby wont be disabled about the time you try it, you'll be taking your eyes off of the guy you'd BETTER be watching! You worrry about others after you've seen the BRAINS SPLATTER on the first 1-2. Statiscially, shooting down ONE (of a pair or group) has put the odds about 4 to 1 in your favor that the rest will flee. Shooting TWO of them ups the odds to about 20 to one in your favor. good thing, too, cause taking long enough to hit another one makes it HIGHLY likely that you'll be either shot or wrassling with $3. If you'll TIME some of the above video, he's still standing in almost arm's reach of enemies, for 3 full seconds. That's much too long to stay exposed to enemy fire, and not be VIOLENTLY moving.
