Today, just got my Mossberg 500 tactical. Collapsible stock, pistol grip, bought approx 500 shells for it, managed to find some 40 call and bought up 3 boxes (limit) happened to be 500 round boxes, and found some 9 mil and managed to grab 100 rounds of that. SEEMS like things are starting to lighten up. Heard that any antigun bill in congress is pretty much going to be DOA with all the 2A supporters out there, then again, havent found a source, other than on the NRA site. maybe these are old articles, but looks like things will stay the same, although the left will continue to come after our guns, and if we keep the pressure on people like we have been, well keep our rights.
Next on the line of business, seems with all the pressure on the left to stay off our rights, many of them will probably not get reelected (or so I hope) in the next election. Many of them have shown true colors when it comes to a budget crisis and our personal individual freedoms.

Id like your thoughts on this whole thing, do you think anything will pass as far as 2A infringements, do you think it will die down?

Things aren't better until I can go back to my local vendor and buy a big box of 22LR at a reasonable price--AKA cheap.

I've never missed my .22 more. It just sits in the case for now.

I do agree that we cant fall asleep on the issue, however, I do figure being weapons and ammo are finally getting a little room to breathe leads me to believe we are slowly but surely winning the fight, we wont have to worry about Obonzo in another 3 years, and we sure as hell wont have to worry about Fienstein of anyone from NY.

Don't become too complacent just because you find things easier to obtain in your neighborhood. I am having trouble finding all calibers. I mean the shelves have been bare which is indicative to me that things have not gotten better yet. If and when I find some, I will buy as much as the vendor allows in order to add to my supply. Going to a gun show this weekend to check out some more guns and ammo. Hopefully there will be something available.

I talked to a friend who works at Federal Cartridge and he said they are running around the clock to fill the orders. They are producing as much as they can as fast as they can. Most of their lines produce around 110 round per min. I have been in that plant many times and most people do not realize just how many operations there are in one round just so you can make it go bang. People are hoarding ammo because they do NOT trust obummer, Big Sis and all the other lib-o-rat anti-gun people. I do not trust them either. So I do not blame anyone who is hoarding and buying all they can. Better to be prepared and not need the ammo than not have ammo and need it!

I do think things are getting better, but we are a few months from being remotely back to normal stock. People are indeed hoarding. The goodness is if none of these assualt bans or restrictions happen people who spend 50% or more over standard AR price may be dumping them trying to get their money back, which means buying opportunities for many handguns too

How does selling at a loss get one's money back? It could only get some of the money back.

Yeah that's the point to cover some of their losses. People who know nothing about ARs walked into gun shops and bought 24" varmint barrels guns and other ARs they knew nothing about according to my dealer. Some of them might regret the decision. It's probably more wishful thinking than not.

More will be available is the point (at least from the stores) I've already seen the prices going back towards normal

After everything this guy has done in office it wouldn't Surprise me of he did repeal it. He doesn't play by the rules of checks and balances and if he replaces anyone in the Supreme Court wouldn't be hard to say its unconstitutional to limit the president to 2 terms

To repeal an Amendment the states must vote on it. At least that is the way it's suppose to work. But I agree with you on obummer and the SCOTUS. So far NOBODY in DC has had the guts to tell obummer he can not do anything that he has done so far. I am so sick of the GOP elitist leadership!!!!

He's attempting to get riots started by absolutely killing the economy. Because, when the economy dies, the sucktits will begin looting in the larger urban areas, and that hate and discontent will spread to the rest of the country. I could not agree with you more!! I believe there are many others out there who think this also because of all the buying of weapons and ammo!!!!! A bill to appeal the 22nd Amendment is introduced about every 2 years for the last 2 decades and hasn't ever made it out of committee so forget about it.

Itstjs, on the day you got your Mossberg and the ammo, did you go out and buy a Powerball ticket? Because that was your lucky day, you happened to be at the right place at the right time. It has happened to most of us at one time or another and be happy it was your day and you had the funds available to make your purchases.
But it being a sign of things getting better, NOPE that is happening yet and as to buyers remorse yeah you will see some of that someday. That will more than likely not happend unless it is a matter of having a weapon or eating and staying warm.
There will never be a time that we will be able to say that we as gun owners are safe from liberal attempts to restrict and/or eliminate our 2A Rights. As long as there are Socialist thinking legislatures there will be a threat to our rights under The Constitution. IMO

It is far from over. One of our suppliers of ammo said that it might be two months before we can get ammo again from him. Brass casings and primed casings are not available in some sizes. We bought 4000 rounds of 5.56/.223, 1000 rounds of 9mm, 1000 rounds of .45ACP. And we are paying 50% more than 6 month ago. Just one of his machines can turn out 45 rounds a minute. But they sit idle right now due to the lack of supplies.
