A Pakistani fertilizer maker whose chemicals have been used in 80 percent of the roadside bombs that have killed and maimed American troops in Afghanistan is now seeking U.S. taxpayer subsidies in order to open a factory in Indiana.

The request appears to be on hold pending further review, but the situation has stirred outrage in Congress, where some accuse the Pakistani government of halting efforts to clamp down on the bomb-making.

For the past seven years, the U.S. government has known that the raw material calcium ammonium nitrate, or CAN, is making its way across the border into Afghanistan where the Taliban use it to fuel their most deadly weapons, namely the improvised explosive device. IEDs have long been the number one killer of U.S. and coalition troops.

The material largely comes from Pakistani fertilizer maker the Fatima Group.

We launch an air raid into Pakistan to take out one decrepit old man, but we can't drone strike one measly factory to save the lives of thousands of US and allied troops? Unrealistic, I know (sovereign country, civilian casualties, blah, blah, blah.) I saw a platoon of Marines from the Wounded Warrior Regiment hauling ass in formation PT last year while I was at Quantico, all of them missing limbs, eyes, or other body parts. Most motivating thing I've seen in my life. Good thing I'm not president, i'd pull the trigger on that factory in a heartbeat..

I'd pull the plug on Pakistan, period. How many times do you let your "ally" stab you in the back? Especially one as insignificant and weak as Pakistan which relies on you to keep big bad India at bay. I'd tell the MSM that Pakistan is getting an "attitude adjustment." Think about it, they harbored Bin Laden and pretended to help. They cried foul when we found out and shot him in the eye and demanded more aid. They kidnapped and murdered our agents and demanded more aid. They lob terrorists at us through one of their many state-sponsored groups (like our other ungrateful stepson, Saudi Arabia) then demand more aid. And we have a REAL ally to the south of them that does not suck off our tit. India has been dying to smash them. Let them! A job for every Indian man between the ages of 18-41 and a clear concise warning to China. Hooah.
