Just for shits & giggles...

The Zombie Armageddon is upon us!
You can only choose one firearm to keep at your fingertips for both offense and defense.
What firearm do you choose to take with you and why?

I would probably choose the Mossberg 590 A1 SPX -w- M9 bayonet/scabbard combination.
Why?
I think this short youtube clip clearly shows why;

Kel tec sub 2000. Light weight, compact, yet powerful enough to do the job. Also, ammo is plentiful, and mags are interchangeable with Glock 9mms. Will be easy to find extra mags if needed.

Awww.... c'mon - for the Zombie Apocalypse (Armageddon?), I would have nothing short of a Dillon Aero Chain Gun M143D.

It kinda' makes other "guns" look like toys. Check out the web site here: Dillon Aero: M134 Gatling Gun, Miniguns, M134 Gun Systems, Naval Mounts, Helicopter Mounts, Vehicle Mounts

I'd mount it in the bed of my pickup truck.

I agree one bad @$$ zombie gun... Tho don't know if i could feed it... Realistically I'd have an M4 (yes
Class 3) with an undermount saga shotgun attached to the quad rail...(ok I saw it on sons of guns and liked it)

I would have nothing less than a Red Ryder bb gun. JK My local pd has a fully automatic 12 gauge with a 20 round drum. It was a beast.

That's cool!
But it would be almost impossible to carry that heavy beast around.
What would you do when you have to go out and about on foot?
Remember, you can only have '1' firearm.
What about ammo availability?

M1A1 carbine. Customized by myself and loaded with my own custom ammo. Same gun I use for Plinking target shooting and small game hunting.

PS. If i can have a backup? Ruger black hawk in 30 carbine. Same ammo nice revolver.

Ammo might be a problem given the rate of fire for the Dillon Gatling Gun. I would need a friggin' trailer to haul around the cases of ammo! And for me, it would be totally impossible to carry. I'm not Jessee Ventura (Predator) who hauls-around his favorite gun, "Painless". You have to admit that the weapon is spectacular. In my estimation, it is second only to the Gatling gun mounted in the A-10 Warthog (a 30mm cartridge).

Concerning the Zombies, I think your choice is spot-on. But I'd still want a sidearm. And if possible, for foot-patrols, I'd pull a wagon with a member of Seal Team Six strapped onto it. He can carry his own ammo!

I'm waffling now.... I would ALSO like to have a select-fire M4. Stoked with armor piercing ammo and tracers. I'll look like one of those disgusting "Rambo Wannabe's" when I'm completely outfitted. The Army thought I was pretty well equipped with my fully-auto M-16 and Model 1911, together with a full combat load. I drew all of that crap every day (or night) from the armorer before going on duty. I thought it was a pain in the ass. In retrospect, every night of work had me better equipped than anyone else on the base (as well as my brother MP's). The other guys had flashlights.

For the "one gun", I'll have to agree with you. But the route I took to get here was fun....

And so it goes...

Zombie Accessories

Not to belabor my already verbose responses to you, I could not help myself this morning when I ran across this image of an actual holster-product, clearly designed for self-protection in the coming Zombie Armageddon.

As you can see, it is a shoulder rig with a place for not only your handgun, but a "miniaturized" shotgun! If it weren't so expensive, I would get one to play with. But then again, I don't have any shortened shotguns, so it would be pointless.

The product is the "Firepower" and is available from Andrews Custom Leather for $500.

And so it goes...

That rig would definately be an excellent addition in any zombie movie. :yes4:
