The School 'Guardian Plan'....Yay or Nay?

Should school staff members be allowed to carry sidearms to protect the kids?

I voted yes, but I think there should be added requirements to do so. More training and a way to block the guns use if it is taken from the teacher. Print recon or something like that
 
I truly don't feel arrogant about what training I've had in the military... it was years ago... and I'm old to boot... but that won't keep me from shooting some bastard that is trying to kill kids. I do believe if someone is in the school for the expressed purpose to protect our kids and grandkids, that he should have all the training he can get. But sometimes that isn't possible. And one thing I do know for sure. Even in a firefight situation, it takes only one well-placed shot in the head to stop an armor coated gunman... whether that be in a school or coming through the barbed wire. You just have to make sure your one shot counts.
 
Don't know the answer to all this, but one thing for sure, 'Gun Free School Zone' doesn't seem to work very well.
