Did Glock actually seek out customer input and receive an mandate that way to produce a Glock in .380? I doubt it. Very. Much. Will they sell a lot of this handgun? Of course they will. Why? Because it is a Glock-brand Glock, tha'ts why.

My LE dealer told me this was coming out in January, most likely for Shot Show when I went to trade my Sig P238 for an LCP. He asked if I could wait to get it. I said sure, then he told me Glock was going to come out with the single stack .380. He alluded that they had plans to do a single stack 9mm and .40 as well. I just didn't want to comment on a forum about it, until I officially heard it was true. I guess Glock's video does that.

I can't wait to get my hands on it.

For those wondering why in the world I would give up a phenomenal weapon like the P238... the reason is simple, I have trained to the point of muscle memory without an external safety. Several times at the range, I pulled the P238 out and neglected to hit the safety and gun wouldn't go boom. It's a great gun, it just is a detriment to me due to my training.

It's a pocket gun. People were screaming for one; Glock finally produced it. If they made it with a large mag capacity, it would no longer be a pocket gun.

That's what a LE Glock dealer told me back in October. I didn't believe him until Glock announced the G42.

I held the G42 in my hand today. WOW, it feels great. It feels better than the LCP. I was able to stick it in my jacket very easily and pull it out very easily.

It has the same inner workings as any other Glock (in a Gen 4 type package) just thinner.

They will not go on sale until the 20th according my dealer. My dealer says they will sell for $319. Heck of a firearm for that price.
