CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The city of Charleston's gun laws could be gone as soon as Monday, Mayor Danny Jones said Tuesday.

"I have the votes to pass it," Jones told the Gazette after a news conference related to a recent firearms law passed by the state Legislature. "Everybody understands, even the ones that don't like it."

I live a half mile from my Rec Center. And, if so inclined, could play tennis, baseball, basketball and weight lift while strapped. Forget about stuffing your piece in a locker! What a crock!

Very cool news! Now, can they just take away the Mayor? Lots of quiet sanitariums where his hoplophobia can be carefully, very carefully approached, and perhaps sanitized a bit. Was that Politically Correct enough?

Progressive liberals and the Left have a holy trinity of topics they use to distract the public from the fact that they haven't had an original thought in their lives, and they have no solutions for any of the everyday problems they were elected to address. That holy trinity is guns (or anything gun related), the "environment", and global warming. The next time you watch the news or read the paper and a liberal from the White House to the City Council is asked about a real problem facing the American public watch how they'll somehow start talking about one of those three topics. Then the Left and the great uninformed masses will go in a trance like a pigeon looking at a shiny object and start clamoring for gun control, electric cars, and sunburned polar bears.
